Since a lot of people get stressed out from time to time, there is that endless question if depression is a real illness. The answer is: yes. The clinical one, that is. It has been said that about 1 out of 8 United states of america residents will likely become clinically depressed. Several experience it once in a lifetime, while others have lots episodes.

The good thing is at the end of this dark canal called depression, there is great hope. Treatment is available in 3 types: psychiatric therapy, antidepressant medicine and the combo of the 2. At this time there are also times when electroconvulsive remedy (ECT) and light therapy are employed.
