Since a lot of people get stressed out from time to time, there is that everlasting question if depression is a real illness. The answer is: yes. The deadly one, that is. It has been stated that about one out of 8 Usa residents will possibly become clinically depressed. Several experience it once in a lifetime, while others can have lots episodes.

8. Loss of appetite and drastic weight change or reduction

9. Suicidal attempts and thoughts.

10. Pronounced becoming easily irritated

11. Physical aches and discomfort that have no physiological basis

Fortunately at the end of this dark canal called depression, there is hope. Treatment is available in three types: hypnosis, antidepressant medicine and the mixture of both. There are also times when electroconvulsive remedy (ECT) and light therapy are employed.
