Since a lot of folks get stressed out from time to time, there is that everlasting question if depression is indeed a illness. The answer is: yes. The deadly one, that is. 4. Shortage or loss of passions in activities that used to bring happiness to the individual and this includes sex.

8. Loss of appetite and drastic weight change or reduction

9. Suicidal attempts and desires.

10. Pronounced becoming easily irritated

11. Physical aches and pains which may have no physiological basis

The good news is at the end of this dark canal called depression, there is great hope. Treatment is available in three types: hypnosis, antidepressant medicine and the combination of the 2. At this time there are also times when electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and light therapy are use.
