Since a lot of folks get depressed from time to time, there is that everlasting question if depression is indeed a illness. The answer is: yes. The deadly one, that is. It has been stated that about one out of 8 Usa residents will likely become clinically depressed. Several experience it once in a lifetime, while others may have multiple episodes.

The good news is at the end of this dark canal called depression, there is great hope. Treatment is available in three types: hypnosis, antidepressant medicine and the mixture of the two. At this time there are also times when electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and light therapy are employed.
