Because a lot of people get frustrated from time to time, there is that everlasting question if depression is a real illness. The answer is: yes. The deadly one, that is. The good thing is at the end of this dark canal called depression, there is great hope. Treatment is gotten in 3 types: psychotherapy, antidepressant medicine and the mixture of the 2. At this time there are also times when electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and light therapy are employed.
